Ricky has built a significant media and cultural footprint, becoming a sought-after guest and performer. A proud Cuban-American, he is a frequent participant and supporter of the Ameripolitan Awards and other cultural events. His name has reached literary circles as well—his story was featured in the book Willie, Waylon, and the Boys by Brian Fairbanks, recounting his viral moment busking outside the CMA Awards and meeting Sturgill Simpson, later covered by Rolling Stone.
